If Warner Bros. really needs a new franchise (and it had to be Buffy), why couldn’t they create a new slayer in this universe, instead of messing with what is already fantastic?

And if it sucks because of the devastating lack of Joss Whedon, then oh well, because it’s not really Buffy, it’s ‘spinoff slayer’ and they have a lot more freedom in everything. No need for (many) comparisons and angry fan-mobs.

I feel this is heading the way of M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender. You know, a complete disaster.

But then, I guess if we’re not hearing any Boofie's or Buffay's then it's already doing better than that particular 'adaptation of a popular television series'.
